Join us at the historic grounds of Merrymeade House to paint, draw or create 'en plein air' (in the open air) with artist Lucia Hardy as part of the Brentwood Art Trail.

You'll be able to set up your art materials and create some artwork in with others outdoors at Merrymeade House, overlooking the house itself, cricket ground and close to the Country Park. Lucia, who was a wildcard heat winner on Sky Arts' Landscape Artist of the Year, will be on hand to support anyone who needs it.

This session is suitable for experienced artists and beginners, anyone who wants to create with us whatever their level of expertise.

Award-winning Merrymeade Tea Rooms will be open with food and drink avaiable to purchase.

Please note:
You'll need to bring your own art equipment and something to sit on (whether a blanket or chair) - no art materials will be provided for this session. Suggested items: sketchbook, drawing pencils/pens, coloured pencils/pens, paints or other art materials of your choice. If you use one, bring an easel or drawing board, there is lots of room for whatever equipment you might like to bring.

- Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear as this event will take place outdoors. You may want to consider an umbrella or hat, depending on the weather.

- Let us know if you have any accessibility requirements we should be aware of.

- Please note, we may take photos at this event which may be used by the Brentwood Art Trail, Brentwood Connected, or supporters of the Trail to post about this and future events. Please let us know before the event if you do not consent to this.
