We were proud to create and sponsor the ‘High Street Impact’ award at Brentwood Chamber of Commerce’s Brentwood Business Awards earlier this month and were thrilled to present this to Natasha at Chicken and Frog Bookshop and Bekki from Ridgewell & Boreham.

They go above and beyond their day jobs to deliver events in Crown Street which engage the community and boost footfall. Along with finalists The Brentwood Buzz and Nationwide, we’re extremely proud of the businesses we have in our borough and their positive impact on our area.

As we head towards the end of the Cadent gas works and the six week road closure of Brentwood High Street, we want to thank our businesses for their patience and for helping us to spread the word that we’ve been open for business, closed to traffic.

If you feel your business has been negatively affected by the road closure and is showing a clear loss of gross profit due to Cadent’s works, you can contact them to enquire about compensation. There are details here.

Lots of our businesses are celebrating a year in our town centres in October, including Caffé Piccolo and The Pink Parachute in Brentwood and The Dental Works in Shenfield.

If you’re celebrating an achievement or have something to shout about, let us know.
